Young child and instructor enjoying equine-assisted learning and horse powered reading program

Equine-assisted learning

We offer both Horse Powered Reading™ group classes and Equine-assisted Learning (EAL)  private & family sessions. Both programs nurture and build upon the child's relationship with the horse, using movement and games to keep the child's motivation and confidence growing as they learn.

EAL focuses on the individual's learning process, providing for an open and inclusive environment, where the horse can help us reflect on how we approach relationships, learning, and life challenges.

Horsemanship group classes

We offer 2 and 3-hour drop-off classes for homeschool, afterschool, and weekend schedules. These classes are geared towards making positive social interactions, learning about horses, donkey, goats, chickens and more! Kids learn horsemanship, basic horseback riding skills, and have fun with movement around the farm in a fun group setting!

Two levels are offered, one for ages 5 - 10, and one for Teens & Tweens, 12 and up. (These are just suggestions; feel free to put your child where most appropriate, or just ask.) While teaching the same horsemanship animal, and other skills, the Teens & Tweens program adds more focus on work ethic and responsibility, positive peer modeling, and face-to-face connections away from screens and technology.

Riding classes

Private and semi-private horseback riding lessons, starting from the ground up, emphasizing balance and connection between horse and rider, ages 6 and up.

For our younger riders, we offer Pony Pals where your child will learn grooming, leading, and basic riding skills on a pony, and end with giving a special pony treat! These classes work at building confidence, clear communication, listening skills, compassion, and physical coordination and strength!

(NOTE: All horseback programs are subject to a 200 pound weight limit per rider.)
